Visual storytelling Visual storytelling is my love language. I switched my major in graduate school to Broadcast (from Print) because I liked the challenge of constructing a story, not just with my words, but by each individual sharing with their own words and capturing that emotion with visuals. I approach each project with video in mind, how can we bring that element to life through the subject’s own narrative? Show me, don’t tell me!
As part of my role in 3M Government Markets, I was charged with elevating our brand presence in the Defense space. Challenge: People have no idea we play in this space. We fixed that with a Defense anthem video. I wrote and produced this piece.

post-it extreme launchIn my role as a brand storyteller, it was my job to keep a pulse on the latest new products and technologies. This story was part of a larger piece on our newsroom website that included a video component and also featured on our internal news broadcast. I tried to capture the unique customer perspective and the work and everyone involved in how a product gets launched, plus who doesn’t love a local brewery.
I led this project and produced the video with our in-house videographer.
internal news featureI launched an internal news broadcast in 2015 to connect the company globally and keep employees informed on all the latest news, product launches and happenings at 3M headquarters. I wrote and produced over 300 features in my time in this role along with my team of videographers.
This feature was about 3M Tech Forum’s Made by You event.
3m science at homeScience at Home was part of a 3M initiative to promote STEM in a fun and creative way through science experiments. I was part of a select group of scientists and engineers who got a chance to feature a science experiment. I was charged with setting up my own shoot and directing it.
